This Used 2012 Fender Custom Shop Duo-Tone Telecaster 3-Tone Sunburst is in on consignment and it is in great shape. It was factory distressed so the aging was intentional. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.
The pickups are no longer original but are a sweet sounding pair of Seymour Duncan Vintage Broadcaster Single Coils. A Master Volume, Master Tone, and 3-way pickup selector switch round out the electronics.
This is an interesting guitar. The Fender Custom Shop made this a "Duo-Tone" Tele by combing both Alder and Ash to make the bodies. These are the two most revered and stored tonewoods in Fender's Long History of Guitar manufacturing. You can plainly see where the tonewoods meet. The center strip is made of Swamp Ash while the wings on either side are Alder. A nitrocellulose Three Tone Sunburst finish looks fantastic!
The neck is made from quartersawn Maple and carved to a mid 60's Style Oval C neck profile that feels very nice. It's a slim neck that measures in at .820" to "930. The fingerboard is made from Dark Rosewood, has a 9.5" fingerboard radius and 6105 frets. 1.650" nut width provides a classic feeling Fender while 25.5" scale length keeps the strings feeling taut and snappy.
Nobody treats used guitars as we do at The Music Gallery! Every trade-in goes through an inspection, cleaning, restring and set up before being put out on sale. We even put guitars with bad frets through our Plek machine if need be. If this service piques your interest learn more here or give us a call!
