This Used Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt 50s Telecaster Closet Classic by Dennis Galuszka in Butterscotch Blonde is here on consignment. it is in phenomenal shape as it has been treated very well and not played all that often. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.
Dennis Galuszka makes a mighty fine guitar and this featherweight Telecaster is a testament to that! Weighing in at only 6 lbs 15 oz, this is about as comfortable as they get. Anything lighter than this runs the risk of getting neck heavy too. A Light Weight piece of Ash was chosen for this guitar and its' grain peaks thru the trans-Butterscotch Blonde Finish.
The neck is made from a piece of Birdseye Figured Maple that has been heat-treated or roasted. This process not only darkens the look of the maple but also helps cook off any sap or liquid left in the neck making it far more stable. Since Birdseye is known for being less stable than a plain piece, roasting it is the perfect solution. You still get the beauty of the Birdseye but without the propensity to be quite so squirrely. The fretboard radius is carved to a 9.5" which is then topped with 6105 frets. 25.5" Scale Length and 1.650" Nut Width combine for a classic feeling Fender.
The pickups are hand-wound by Josefina Campos, who we call the Master Winder. Her pickups up the ante with dynamic expression, incredible touch-sensitivity, and an endless amount of tonal control with just the onboard guitar controls. In the bridge position we have a Broadcaster and in the neck position a Texas Special. This is a perfect combo! With a master volume, tone control, and 3-way pickup selector switch, this is an easy to navigate guitar.
Nobody treats used guitars as we do at The Music Gallery! Every trade-in goes through an inspection, cleaning, restring, and set up before being put out on sale. We even put guitars with bad frets through our Plek machine if need be. If this service piques your interest learn more here or give us a call!
