This one was made by Dennis Galuzska. From the wood selection to craftsmanship, every aspect of this guitar is top-notch. A set-neck design is very rare from Fender. The mahogany neck is set into the chambered mahogany body, then topped with a highly figured maple top. This type of build is more commonly associated with Gibson, but Fender's take on it is absolutely sublime!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eThe body features multiple layers of binding for a look akin to that of a Les Paul Custom. The bound fingerboard and headstock elevate the aesthetics even further. The top is made of highly figured maple, while the back is made of chambered mahogany. As a result, this guitar weighs only 8 lbs 4 oz.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA gorgeous jet-black ebony fingerboard is inlaid with large Mother-of-Pearl Split Block Inlays. The fingerboard and headstock are bound with multiple plies of binding, and the headstock features a Robben Ford banner. The neck has a nice, full feel, not huge or skinny. Whether you are playing rhythm or lead, this guitar feels phenomenal in all positions. High fret access is even a breeze thanks to a perfectly shaped neck heel on the set neck. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe guitar has its original 2 Seymour Duncan pickups installed in it, along with a volume and tone control for each pickup. We have a JB in the bridge position and a 59 in the neck. A mini toggle switch allows for coil tapping, while a traditional 3-way pickup toggle selector makes navigating things easy.
