This Fender Parallel Universe II Uptown Stratocaster in Static White is in on trade and it is in great shape, aside from one ding in the top edge of the headstock. The neck is straight, the original frets, are still crowned, and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case which is exceptionally cool thanks to its Surf Green Tolex!
Fender meet Gibson! The Uptown Strat is certainly a mishmash of the two legendary heavyweights. An All Mahogany Body teams with a Mahogany Neck and Rosewood Fingerboard for a Les Paul Special/SG style tonewood cocktail. Gibson Scale Length of 24.75" keeps the strings feeling slinky. The pair of custom-wound DoubleTap Humbuckers are tied to Gibson-style controls with individual volume/tone controls along with a 3-way toggle. Cream binding on the fingerboard matches the Poker Chip Toggle Ring and helps capture that Les Paul essence quite well, actually! Even the Color, Static White, is an obvious homage to TV White, the Classic Gibson color from the 1950s.
Then it's on to the Fender Stuff.... which when you break it down, isn't all that much from here on out! Sure it looks KIND OF like a Strat but the contouring on the body is very different, most notably leaving more meat on the back of the guitar. The neck is Bolted On, though and it is loaded with a Tremolo System. This is quite cool for anyone who ever wanted an SG/LP with a tremolo that would actually stay in tune! I kid, I kid, sort of, not really.
If you are looking for something new, unique, or different, the Uptown Strat is worth investigating. It certainly sits in between true staples of the electric guitar world but if you ask me, that's pretty cool!
Nobody treats used guitars as we do at The Music Gallery! Every trade-in goes through an inspection, cleaning, restring and set up before being put out on sale. We even put guitars with bad frets through our Plek machine if need be. If this service piques your interest learn more here or give us a call!
