Fender launched the Starcaster in 1974 as an attempt to break into the semi-hollowbody, humbucker market. The Starcaster was distinguished by its offset body style and unique headstock. This one plays great and was taken care of considerably well. It was refretted at some point with a large fretwork. They are in nice shape and nicely crowned at this point so the guitar plays well. We did not do the refret so we can't vouch for the details.
