This Used Gibson Custom Wildwood Spec 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue in Wildwood Burst is here on consignment. The neck is straight, the frets are still owned, and the truss rod functions properly. Included with the guitar are the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.
1958 was the year that Gibson replaced the Gold Top Finish with the Burst, changing things from here on out. A very nice looking Plain Maple Top has some interesting grain to appreciate and it is shown off perfectly by the Wildwood Burst nitro-finish. The top is bound to the mahogany back for the classic tonewood combo and Les Paul Standard look.
With a pair of Wildwood Spec Custombuckers, this guitar has a sweet and warm top-end with a less-dominate low-end and a musical mid-range. Each pickup has its own volume and tone controls and is accessible via the 3-way pickup toggle.
The neck has a Chunky C Profile that measures .910" at the 1st fret and 1.0 at the 12th. Other neck numericals include 1.69" nut width, a 12" fingerboard radius. 22 Historic Narrow-Tall Frets, and classic Gibson scale length of 24.75". The Indian Rosewood Fingerboard is bound and inlaid with some nice looking Aged-Cellulose Trapezoid Inlays.
