This 2006 Gibson ES-335 Figured in Cherry is in on trade and it is in very good shape. It is rather clean, cosmetically, and it is fully functioning though the headstock has a couple of small finish chips and impressions as does the face of the body. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case. This guitar weighs in at a comfortable 8 lbs 6 oz.
The Gibson ES-335 has been one of those staple guitars, a classic instrument since its introduction in the late 1950s. Since then, the ES-335 has been seen in the hands of far too many players to list. In fact, any player lucky enough to have a multi-decade spanning career has probably had their 335 phase. I even saw Angus Young play one!
This 2006 Gibson ES-335 features a nicely figured outer Maple ply that features some fat curls! I really dig the way the Cherry Finish has darkened a bit over the years, helping the figuring to pop out. A rounded Mahogany Neck is topped with a nice looking Rosewood Fingerboard. The neck itself has a slim feel to it in the 1st position but it tapers to a fuller feel as you work your way up.
A pair of '57 Classic Humbuckers are installed and they are super warm and smooth sounding. This is a very nice sounding humbucker whether played clean or dirty. The pickups are tied to independent volume and tone controls and then a 3-way toggle switch. These are typical Gibson controls arranged in their familiar fashion for ease of navigation.
Nobody treats used guitars as we do at The Music Gallery! Every trade-in goes through an inspection, cleaning, restring, and set up before being put out on sale. We even put guitars with bad frets through our Plek machine if need be. If this service piques your interest learn more here or give us a call!
