This guitar is in on consignment and it is in great shape. This 1966 Gibson Trini Lopez Signature model is a beautiful guitar. There are some marks on the body, light dings, a scratch where it would sit on your leg, a couple light impressions on the back on the neck... None of it is serious though and this guitar is in quite nice shape, especially for an instrument of it's age.
When I asked George if there was anything I should know about it, in terms of repairs, originality etc.... I saw the look of love and yearning in his eyes! "It's a beautiful guitar," were his exact words. Bought new and owned since the late 1960's buy the same person, it's now being sold on consignment. A fully functioning, beautiful instrument that was lovingly taken care of and played. Include with the guitar is a period correct Gibson Chip Board Case, but not the usual hardshell these usually came with. How and why, we will never know! But we do know, this is one fine example of a guitar that has enjoyed a resurgence of popularity in the hands of Dave Grohl. Want the original, here it is!
