This 2003 Hamer Monaco Super Pro Electric Guitar in Trans Amber is in on trade and it is in great shape. It is clean, cosmetically, with nothing negative worth mentioning aside from some light finish swirling and scratches. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case.
This is a beautiful guitar that has been well treated over its life. It is finished in a gorgeous transparent amber stain that has darkened up a bit over the last 17-18 years. A highly figured maple top sits atop a Mahogany Body. The neck is made from mahogany and is topped with a bound rosewood fingerboard. Hamer's Victory Mother-of-Pearl Fingerboard Inlays class things up a notch.
This is a very good playing guitar and it sounds absolutely fantastic thanks to the Seymour Duncan Custom in the neck and Custom Custom in the bridge. Each pickup has its own volume control and there is a master tone control as well. A 3-way pickup selector toggle grants access to each pickup or both at the same time.
This guitar weighs in at 7 lbs 13 oz, rather light-weight when you consider the tonewoods used. However, it was built with a chambered body and no f-holes. The guitar is very loud, and resonant as a result. And weighing under 8 lbs ain't too shabby either!
The neck measures in at .883" at the 1st fret and .949" at the 12th fret. It's got a nice full feeling to it, not a slim neck in ay position but by no means a baseball bat either. If you dig a slim 59 Les Paul, you'll probably find this neck comfortable. The Super Pro Model features 25.5" Scale length, as well, for a tighter string feel along with a snappier response.
Nobody treats used guitars as we do at The Music Gallery! Every trade-in goes through an inspection, cleaning, restring and set up before being put out on sale. We even put guitars with bad frets through our Plek machine if need be. If this service piques your interest learn more here or give us a call!
