The Martin D-28 StreetLegend is a new and interesting offering from CF Martin and Co. While not technically distressed, this one has the look of an aged guitar thanks to an incredible piece of technology that allows the printing of images directly to the top of a guitar! Super cool!
If you have always liked the look of an aged guitar but couldn't justify paying extra for one, the StreetLegend is worth investigating. The top of this guitar has had the wear printed on to it, NOT painstakingly recreated by an Artisan that specializes in aging guitars. This cuts down on labor considerably and the savings are passed on to customer, noice!
The critical ingredients are all there: spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides, Mahogany Neck, and an Ebony fingerboard. It's a real D-28! It even has the Modified Low Oval Neck Profile and High Performance Taper so it immediately feels familiar. This is a great playing, great sounding guitar with a super cool story to go along with it!
