If ever there was a Fender that never existed but should have, you're looking at it! Greg Fessler Dr. Moreau'd the heck out of this flat-out KILLER guitar! Crossing the DNA of the Les Paul Junior with that of a Tele, this Thinline (Semi-Hollow) Tele has got a lot of coolness to cover.
A 2 Piece Alder body has been constructed with a Semi-Hollow Design that helps it to weigh in at only 6 lbs 11 oz. While it's physically light, it packs a ridiculous sonic punch! Finish in Olympic White and expertly aged by Masterbuilder Greg Fessler, this Tele forgoes the more obvious pickguard choices and goes for a Dark Red Tortoise Shell. The final look is equal parts bada$$ and elegant.
The neck is made from 5/4" quartersawn maple for extra stability. The neck profile is the 60 Style Oval C. It measures in at .790" at the 1st fret and at .930" at the 12th fret. The maple is topped with AAA Rosewood that is dark and sultry looking, the perfect compliment for the Black Finish. The fingerboard radius is 9.5" and it's got 21 x 6105 frets installed. 1.650" nut width, a bone nut, and 25.5" scale length complete the specs.
The pickups are a pair of Seymour Duncan P-90 single coil's. These pickups are beefy, woody, powerful, dynamic, and touch-sensitive. If you are looking for THAT P-90 sound, this guitar has it. Period. A Master Volume sweetens and cleans things up beautifully. A Master Tone Control helps take the edge off when needed and gives surprisingly warm, rich, and detailed tones.
