This Used 2012 Fender Custom Shop 50's Telecaster Closet Classic in Black is here on trade. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod functions properly. Included with the guitar are the original Certificate of Authenticity, a Limited Edition Spec Certificate, and the original hardshell case.
The Certificate of Authenticity indicates that this guitar is a thinline; however, it clearly is not! The Custom Shop used to make a fair amount of errors on their COA's and this one was never corrected along the way. Not the biggest deal, but something worth noting, for sure.
This Tele features a maple neck and an Alder body, keeping the core ingredients simple. The neck carve is a 57 Soft V, which measures in at .85" deep at the first fret and .99" deep at the 12th. The fingerboard radius is 9.5", there are 21 6105 frets installed, the nut width is 1.65", it has a bone nut, and the scale length is 25.5".
The pickups are Abby Handwounds. An Original Blackguard Telecaster Pickup is in the bridge, while the neck pickup is a Twisted Tele. These are great-sounding pickups loaded with nuance, detail, and touch sensitivity. A master volume, master tone, and 3-way pickup selector cover the electronic controls.
