This Used 2023 Fender Custom Shop GC Stratocaster HST Journeyman Relic in Aztec Gold is here on trade. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod functions properly. Included with the guitar are the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity. This guitar was made in 2023.
For those of us who may have seen a few too many traditional Strats over the years, this is an exceptionally cool guitar with plenty to appreciate. Its pickup complement may be the most easily spotted point of conversation. The bridge pickup is for a T, we have a Strat middle pickup, and we have a Humbucker in the Neck. This truly is unlike anything we have ordered from the CS but there are a handful of this model floating around. Originally put together by Guitar Center, this is quite a cool guitar!
The neck on this guitar is superb! Made from Roasted, Quartersawn Maple, this is about as stable a neck as one could expect. The roasting process adds dimensional stability to a piece of wood by removing sugars, starches, and impurities, aging the wood on a cellular level. It is carved to a 60s oval C with a 1st fret depth of .790" and 12 fret depth of .930". It also has an AAA-Rated Rosewood Fingerboard with a 7.25" to 9.5" Compound Fingerboard Radius and 6105 Frets.
The pickups are another interesting talking point. In the bridge, we have a Fat 51 Nocaster with all the bark and bite you could want. The middle pickup is a Fat '50s Strat, which plays nicely with the bridge pickup in particular. The neck pickup is a Seth Lover from Seymour Duncan, which really needs no introduction. The pickups are tied to a 5-way pickup selector switch, master volume, and master tone controls.
