As soon as I saw this, I thought Eddie Cochran, but it's missing his signature, and it has a different headstock overlay. It does have the same awesome pickup compliment, which is a surprisingly musical combo. We have a dark, thick-sounding Seymour Duncan P-90 Pickup in the neck position and a Dynasonic Bridge pickup for the utmost in clean, bright, and articulate. In the middle, we find a perfect blend of the 2 pickups, sure to make the rockabilly, finger picker happy!
The neck is made from 2 pieces of maple with a fiber stringer. It's carved to a Stock C Profile that feels absolutely perfect! It has a bound, dark rosewood fingerboard and Vintage-Sized frets along with some of the coolest fingerboard inlays you'll see, with a variety of Western-themed visuals! The neck is exceptionally comfortable!
The body is made of laminated maple, finished in classic Gretsch orange, and then aged by Gonzalo Madrigal. With amazing visual touches like double-bound f-holes, the G Branding Iron logo, gold hardware, the perfectly patina'ed shade of Gretsch Orange, this is an easy guitar to appreciate on all levels.
