This Used Gibson Custom 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue w/Brazilian Rosewood Fingerboard in Heritage Cherry Burst is here on consignment. The body shows some wear and tear on both the top and back. Some light dings, dents, and impressions along with some light rashing on the back are all present. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod functions properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity. We pleked this guitar way back in 2009 and it's still playing great!
This 1958 Les Paul Reissue is one that features a Brazilian Rosewood board. You can search on the internet for info on Gibson's use of this much-loved tonewood during 2003 and this one has a serial number that falls within range. The board is very nice looking with striking color variations, tight grain, little pores, and that lovely waxy look.
Most of the hardware has been swapped out. The bridge pieces are both Tone Pros and have the locking set screw. It also has the RS Guitarworks Wiring Harness along with a pair of RS Guitarworks Psychebilly Blues Humbuckers (the originals are included, as well). The tuners were replaced with Klusons (original included). The original nylon nut has been replaced with a bone nut that was cut by Tim Schroeder. All the original hardware, except the nut, are included with the guitar.
