FINALLY! Someone nailed that perfect in-between acoustic-electric guitar that can appeal to both worlds! The Acoustasonic Tele is made from tried and true acoustic guitar materials in Mahogany, Sitka Spruce, and Ebony for tones that have spanned thru the history of recorded music.
Why it's cool. 1st, the Tele Body Style is very comfortable for the average person. People of all body types play them and agree. So this guitar is physically friendly to the vast majority of players who will pick it up. This can't be said about ANY body type in the acoustic world. Practically every sized body is too big or too small for someone.
2nd, the Fender/Fishman electronics are AMAZING! You basically have 8 drastically different Acoustic tones to choose from at either the flick of a switch or roll of a tone pot. While there are two telecaster bridge pickup tones to appreciate as well. After spending a few moments through a Fender Acoustic Amplifier, I must say I find the Fender/Fishman tones on this guitar much more pleasing than the average acoustic guitar pickup.
3rd, it plays like an electric guitar. Strung with 11 gauge strings from the factory, this guitar runs on Acoustic Guitar Strings NOT your favorite nickel wound/steel core. It's an incredibly easy to play guitar that's acoustic tones aren't nearly as affected by a string gauge like an electric. Even 10's will perform on here beautifully, allowing for acoustic tones but straight-up electric guitar performance.
4th, the woods were chosen for their acoustic properties and the proof is in a much stronger than anticipated acoustic tone. A Sitka Spruce Top is paired with a Mahogany body for a classic, time-tested acoustic combo. Not as loud as your dreadnaught but certainly loud enough for playing unplugged on the couch and singing along to, this more than manageable guitar features a patent-pending Stringed Instrument Resonance System (SIRS) that make this a pure inspiration to play. The neck is made from mahogany and the fingerboard is made from striped Ebony. Yet another time-tested acoustic-guitar tonewood combo!
The Acoustasonic Telecaster offers five discreet voice pairs - a curated collection of acoustic and electric voices that can be played solo or blended via the Mod Knob to create infinite combinations. Position 5 is with the Voice Selector closest to the neck; Position 1 is the furthest away. The 'A' Voice is with the Mod Knob fully counter-clockwise; the 'B' voice is fully clockwise.
