The Gibson ES Supreme Semi-Hollow in Blueberry Burst is one seriously beautiful guitar. Gibson took the legendary ES-335 platform and gave it the full Supreme treatment, adding a stunning AAA Figured Maple body, bound Ebony fingerboard, Mother-of-Pearl Super Split Block inlays, gold hardware, and one of the coolest Gibson headstock inlays we've seen in a while. And thankfully, this one isn't just about looks—the ES Supreme is loaded with player-friendly features that make it every bit as impressive to play as it is to look at. It includes a Gibson hardshell case and accessory kit.
The ES-335 has been one of Gibson's most versatile electric guitars since its introduction in 1958. Its semi-hollow construction and solid maple center block give you some of the openness and character of a hollowbody while retaining the sustain, punch, and feedback resistance that make a solidbody so useful. The ES Supreme takes that proven recipe and brings it into Gibson's modern lineup with a feature set aimed squarely at players who want one guitar to cover a lot of ground.
The neck is a comfortable Rounded C mahogany profile with a 10"–16" compound-radius Ebony fingerboard. That's a great combination: the rounder end of the radius keeps chords feeling natural, while the flatter upper register makes bends and lead playing feel effortless. The fingerboard is bound and carries 22 medium-jumbo frets along with those gorgeous Mother-of-Pearl Super Split Block inlays. A 1.7" Graph Tech nut, 24.75" scale length, and locking Grover Keystone tuners round out a very comfortable, very modern-feeling neck.
The body is where the ES Supreme really starts showing off. The 3-ply AAA Figured Maple/Poplar/Maple construction features a solid Maple center block and 5-ply binding, all finished in Gibson's Gloss Nitrocellulose Lacquer. The Blueberry Burst is absolutely killer, with the figured maple giving the finish plenty of depth. Add the black 5-ply pickguard, gold hardware, and bound headstock, and this is about as dressed-up as an ES-335 gets.
The electronics are just as versatile. Gibson paired a Burstbucker Rhythm Pro in the neck with a Burstbucker Lead Pro+ in the bridge, giving you everything from warm, rounded semi-hollow tones to plenty of power and bite when you need it. Both volume controls are push/pull, allowing you to split the humbuckers for single-coil-style sounds. With independent volume and tone controls and the traditional 3-way selector, there's a lot of tonal territory available without making the guitar complicated.
If you've always loved the ES-335 but wanted something a little more luxurious, modern, and visually outrageous, the ES Supreme is exactly that. It's still unmistakably an ES, but Gibson has packed this one with enough upgrades to make it feel like a genuine flagship version of the design. And in Blueberry Burst? Yeah... this one's a stunner.
