The 314ce Studio features Taylor's signature Grand Auditorium body shape. This is Taylor's most popular and versatile body style, known for its balanced tone. It's larger than a Grand Concert but smaller than a Dreadnought, offering strong volume and projection while remaining comfortable to play for both fingerstyle and strumming. Its pinched waist allows for comfortable playing whether seated or standing.

A hallmark of Taylor's higher-end models, the 314ce Studio is built with all-solid tonewoods for superior resonance, sustain, and tonal depth. This only adds to the richness and depth of tone you'll experience with the 314 Studio!

The soundboard is made from solid Sitka spruce, a classic and highly versatile tonewood known for its broad dynamic range, crisp articulation, and ability to accommodate various playing styles. The "torrefied" (or roasted) treatment enhances the top's resonance and responsiveness, giving it a more "played-in" or vintage sound right out of the box.

The back and sides are crafted from solid sapele, an African hardwood often compared to mahogany. Sapele delivers a balanced, punchy midrange response with a clear, woody character and a touch of top-end sparkle. It's known for its consistent tone across the spectrum.

This internal bracing system, developed by Taylor, is a significant innovation. It aims to improve intonation across the entire fretboard, increase sustain, and boost overall volume, providing a more harmonically consistent and powerful acoustic voice.
