Used 1967 Martin GT-75 Electric Hollowbody in Burgundy 215578

Regular price $4,500.00 Sale

This Used 1967 Martin GT-75 Electric Guitar in Red is here on consignment. This is from our Repair Tech and Employee, Pete Flynn's collection, so you know it's a fine piece!

The guitar was recently refretted by Pete and George, here at the shop. With the aid of our Plek Machine, the job is absolutely perfect, and this guitar plays the best it ever has.

The original aluminum bridge is included, though it's currently outfitted with a wood bridge that produces a warmer tone and is pinned to the body. It has newer Gotoh tuners on it, also put on by Pete, though the original tuners are also included. Pete also replaced the volume pots with some 500k from CTS. Included with the guitar are the original hardshell case, literature, and strap.

Martin Guitars, best known for their acoustics, made electric guitars for a short period of time, from 1966-68, and only 1500-1600 of the GT-75 Model were made. They are actually quite cool pieces with great tone thanks to Dynasonic Pickups and their fully hollow nature. The amplified tone is quite Gretsch-like and really nails that bell-like chimey thing with a warm, cushy pad of low-end. Each pickup has a volume control and a tone control, and is accessible via a 3-way pickup toggle.
