This Used 2023 Fender Custom Shop 62/63 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic in Aged Olympic White is here on consignment. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned (we pleked them in 2023), and the truss rod functions properly. Included with the guitar are the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.
We ordered this guitar for its original owner a couple of years ago. It features a Rift Sawn Maple Neck that is a little chunkier than the typical early 60s Strat neck. It measures .83" deep at the 1st fret and a full inch at the 12th. It has a AAA-Rated Rosewood Fingerboard that has a compound fingerboard radius that starts at 7.25" and ends at 9.5". There are 21 Jescar 47095 Medium Vintage-sized frets installed which provide a great playing surface, especially when combined with the compound radius. The back of the neck is stripped of lacquer for that Relic'ed feel many players love.
The pickups are a set of 60/63 spec Strat pickups tied to a master volume,2 tone controls, and a 5-way pickup switch. These pickups are warm and sweet, with a perfectly scooped mid-range, and some sweet, bell-like highs that chime and quack with the best of them. A master volume, 2 tone controls, and a 5-way pickup selector switch cover the controls.
Body-wise, we have a 2-piece Alder body that was sorted for weight, so it weighs a manageable 7 lbs 5 oz. It is finished in Aged Olympic White, a timeless Fender color, accentuated further by the Mint Green Pickguard. The Journeyman Relic level of distressing is the icing on the cake, though. This is a fantastic-looking guitar with a great vibe!
