This Used 1966-69 Gibson ES-330TD Hollowbody in Vintage Sunburst is here on consignment. This era of Gibson serial numbers are extremely difficult to nail down but we've got this one between 1966 and 1969. This guitar was refretted at some point with some large frets. They still have a crown on them and plenty of meat. The case is not original. The nut was also replaced at some point and does leave a little to be desired. We'd be happy to use our Plek Machine to cut a new bone nut for this should optimum performance be your thing! Nothing else has been changed.
This guitar has the skinny nut width that the era is known for, which measures in at 1 and 9/16". The neck measures a 1st fret depth of .86" and 12th fret depth of .95". It doesn't feel too chunky, though, because of the thin nut.
The original P-90 Pickups are tucked into those double dog-ear Chrome Covers as was the style at the time. They do sound fantastic, especially in the middle position. Even acoustically, this guitar has a strong tone thanks to its completely hollowbody nature.
Vintage Gibson Guitars typically go for exceptionally high prices. These late 1960s 330s can still be had for a reasonable price, especially considering they continue to accrue value.
