This Used 1982 Gibson Heritage Series Les Paul Standard 80 in Ebony is here on consignment. The nut was replaced with a bone nut at some point, but that's the only change we have discovered. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod functions properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case.
This guitar represents Gibson's 1st stab at recreating the 1959 Les Paul Standard. While it's a far cry from the 59 repros of today, these have gone on to be highly praised and sought-after collectibles. Finding one in Black/Ebony is super rare!
Believe it or not, one of our current employees sold this guitar to its original owner back in 1982 at Flynn Guitars in Evanston! What a small world! So, this is a one-owner guitar, and it remains in really nice shape after all these years, but... it is a black Gibson, so if you look at it wrong, it scratches. It's also the ONLY Black Heritage Standard that we've EVER seen, this color on this model is incredibly rare!
