This Used 2007 Gibson Melody Maker Electric Guitar in Sunburst is here on trade. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod functions properly. Included with the guitar is a hardshell case.
The Melody Maker was introduced in the late 1950s as a student model guitar. Its thin, lightweight, and stocky feel made it feel perfectly at home in the hands of many budding musicians. Fast-forward to 2007, when Gibson reissued the Melody Maker, which is what we have here!
A mahogany body, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard keep the ingredients simple. A single coil bridge pickup is tied to a master volume and master tone controls. Tone-wise, it's somewhere between an Esquire and a Les Paul Junior. With a brighter and biting tone as opposed to the warmer, richer sound typically associated with Les Paul shaped guitars.
