This Used 2006 Martin JC-16ME Aura Acoustic-Electric in Natural is here on consignment. The neck is straight, the frets are showing a little wear, and the truss rod functions properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case. Overall, this guitar is in great shape for being 20 years old.
It is not often you see Martin Guitars with figured Maple back and sides, so this is a very cool guitar for that alone! It's also got a Jumbo Body, which kind of makes it J-185-esque. As a huge fan of Jumbos AND that Martin sound, this guitar is literal music to the ears!
It has the Fishman Martin Aura Pickup System in it, which was well ahead of its time and still sounds phenomenal today. Plugged into an amp, a PA, or DAW, this pickup system does an amazing job at allowing you to shape your sound.
The neck is Martin's modified low oval profile, which is very easy on the hands. It features 1.75" Nut Width for a little extra room on the fretboard and 25.4" scale for snappy string response.
Overall, this is a very cool instrument with tons of life left. It was treated well and taken care of, so it remains in great shape. Now discontinued, the only way to get this model is on the used market.
