This Fender Custom Shop 50s Telecaster Relic with a 1-piece Ash Body in Aged Natural weighs 6 lbs 15 oz. It has a complex, vibrant tone thanks to the uniform resonance of the 1-piece Ash body. Twisted Tele Pickups, a Soft V Neck profile, 9.5" radius, 6105 frets, and compensated brass saddles combine for authentic 50's tone with a neck pickup from the Tone God's themselves!
This Fender Custom Shop 50s Telecaster Relic 1 Piece Ash in Aged Natural is really resonant, even unplugged. You can really feel the body and neck vibrating in unison, especially impressive are the harmonics and tone generated from behind the nut. The lightweight Swamp Ash body helps this guitar weigh in at 6 lbs 15 oz. As we all know, Swamp Ash is getting limited in supply, so Fender is limiting their use. There is no telling how many more of these they will let us build so now is the time to act!
While we love the Nocaster Single Coil Pickup set but the Twisted Tele pickups are a perfect Modern match for the 1-piece Ash body. The bridge pickup has that vintage, twangy tone with a good mid-range cut but the neck pickup is based on a Strat neck pickup and carries a bit more top end and output, making it a much better lead guitar pickup than a traditional Tele. A master volume, master tone, and three-way blade switch grants access to all your favorite tones.
The neck is made from quarter-sawn maple for added stability and carved to a Super Soft V profile. This neck shape is a bit slimmer than the average 10/56 and the V is very soft, undetectable to some. It is very easy to play and control thanks to the 9.5" fingerboard radius and 6105 frets. You will have a hard time putting this one down! The scale length is 25.5" and the nut width is 1.650" for a classic feeling Fender neck.
