Perhaps the most notable feature of the Black Beauty is its one-piece solid mahogany body. Unlike most Les Paul's, the Black Beauty does not have a separate maple top. The carved 'top' and back are the same piece of wood on this guitar. It requires a large piece of Mahogany and some real expertise when carving the body.
