This Gibson Les Paul 70's Deluxe in Goldtop is brand new and includes its original hardshell case and manufacturer's warranty.
The Deluxe Model features a pair of Mini Buckers along with most of the typical Les Paul Standard appointments. These pickups have a clearer, brighter sound that is particularly favorable to those who find the neck humbucker on LPs to be a bit muddy or loose. Each pickup has its own volume and tone controls, and a 3-way toggle is easy to navigate.
The body is made from Mahogany which is then topped with a carved piece of plain maple. It is bound with cream binding for a classic look. The woods are solid, no weight relief, just like they were back in the day!
The neck is made from Mahogany and features a Rounded C Profile. An Indian Rosewood Fingerboard has the same color binding as the body for a uniform look. A 12" fingerboard radius and 22 medium jumbo frets give this guitar an immediately familiar feel. 1.7" nut width and 24.75" scale length round out the neck numericals.
"First released in 1969, the Deluxe saw the introduction of the Mini Humbucker™ to the Les Paul™ lineup. Mini Humbuckers retain the hum-free performance of their full-sized cousins but with a somewhat clearer and brighter tonality. The new Deluxe has features that were inspired by those early models from the 1970s, with a non-weight relief mahogany body and bound maple top, a bound mahogany neck with a Rounded C profile, vintage-style Keystone tuners, a Graph Tech® nut, and a traditional Les Paul control layout with 2 Volume and 2 Tone controls hand-wired with Orange Drop® capacitors."
