From his breakthrough years in the ’80s to the decades of music that followed, the Les Paul has remained a constant part of his sound and image. The Slash Victoria Les Paul Standard Goldtop celebrates that connection with classic Les Paul construction, Slash-inspired appointments, and a striking Goldtop finish.
The traditional tonewood combination starts with a carved maple top glued to a solid mahogany body, with no weight relief. Cream binding frames the body and fingerboard, while the Goldtop finish is applied in nitrocellulose lacquer. The mahogany neck features a comfortable ’50s Vintage C profile, paired with a rosewood fingerboard, 12" radius, 22 medium-jumbo frets, and a 24.75" scale length.
A pair of uncovered, double-black Custom BurstBucker humbuckers with Alnico II magnets delivers the warm, rounded response and vocal midrange that make Slash’s Les Paul tone so recognizable. Each pickup has its own volume and tone control, with a three-way toggle for switching between neck, bridge, and combined pickup settings. The hand-wired electronics feature Orange Drop capacitors.
Slash’s personal touches make the Victoria stand apart from a standard Les Paul Goldtop. The hardware appointments complement the finish, while Slash’s signature appears on the truss rod cover and his “Skully” drawing is featured on the back of the headstock. It also comes with Slash-approved Ernie Ball strings, four Slash signature Jim Dunlop Tortex picks, a spare blank truss rod cover, and a vintage-style hardshell case.
Weighing in at 8 lbs 11 oz, this Victoria brings together the familiar feel of a traditional Les Paul Standard and the distinctive details of the Slash Collection.
