The Harmony Comet Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar in Sunburst Harmony Guitars are back but these are far from the student models of the 1950s. These are REAL guitars that will last a lifetime. The Harmony Comet offers a semi-hollow design, comfortable body but thanks to a pair of Humbuckers dressed like gold foils, it is NOT small on tone!
How is a guitar being made in the USA for this kind of money? The folks at Harmony are picking high-quality tonewoods, investing in quality hardware, and building like they have something to prove. And they do! That these AREN'T like the old Harmony Guitars but are far better than anything bearing the name before them.
The body is made from Genuine mahogany, which is known for its deep and warm sound qualities and has been specially sourced to craft this guitar. The Comet's carved top and back retain the warm tone and acoustic qualities, while its long-tenon set-neck construction increases sustain.
Inspired by the original Harmony H72 of the '60s, the Comet represents the very first semi-hollow electric guitar in Harmony's lineup of cherished musical instruments. Just like the original H72, the Comet has a unique six-in-line headstock that sets it apart from other semi-hollow electric guitars.
Harmony's Gold Foil Humbuckers are Custom-voiced and hand-wound, these neck and bridge pickups deliver precise, articulate, and well-balanced sound. A master volume, master tone, and 3-way toggle make it easy to find the sound you have in your head.
Harmony is using Premium Hardware to bring out the best in the Comet. They have added a Tune-o-Matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece, locking tuners, and custom cupcake knobs.
