Visually, this Model takes advantage of Martin's proprietary Vintage Low Gloss process with a selection of craft-quality finishes. An Adirondack Spruce Top was selected for its era-specific authenticity. This ultra-stiff softwood is considered top of the heap when it comes to Spruce-Species due to its extra stiffness, volume, and projection. The braces are also made from Adirondack Spruce, arranged in an X Pattern, and forward shifted. This guitar is exceptionally loud and can easily fill a room.
The neck is made from mahogany and carved into an Authentic 1937 Profile. The Custom Shop 1937 comes with an adjustable truss rod making this guitar far more season and player-friendly. The fingerboard is made from Ebony which features abalone inlays, 1 and 3/4" Nut Width, and 25.4" scale length.
