The PRS S2 Series McCarty 594 Electric Guitar is all about value. At under $2000 for an American Made PRS, there aren't many guitars that can compete. With core ingredients of a mahogany body, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard, it's easy to draw straight lines to the Gibson World. A pair of humbuckers, each with their own volume and tone controls, along with coil tap functionality via push/pull pots, allow you to find whatever sound it is that you are searching for.
As mentioned, the neck is made from mahogany and is topped with a rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard is also bound and inlaid with PRS Birds for an elevated look. The neck profile is Pattern Vintage, which is slightly thicker and asymmetrical to fit the natural contour of your hand. The McCarty 594 derives its name from the 24.594" Scale Length it features. The gives the strings a slinky feel, for easy bends, and a warm, rich tone.
The body is made from Mahogany and has a flamed maple top on it. This lovely tonewood cocktail has withstood the test of time, providing both body and lovely top-end compression. Finished in Scarlet Red, the top, body, and back of the neck all sport this vibrant sanguine shade.
