The Taylor 724ce Acoustic-Electric Guitar features Hawaiian Koa Top, Back, and Sides! The increasingly rare tonewood has been tough to come by over the last couple of years so it's nice to see some eye-catching stuff finally!
Hawaiian Koa is coveted tonewood that has a look all its own. Each piece of Koa is unique, offering contrast via its streaky or stratified look. We hear it as a brighter-sounding mahogany with a sweet top-end. The look is further complemented by an abalone rosette inlay and Maple/Rosewood Binding. Taylor's V-Class bracing allows this guitar to resonate beautifully even with a light touch.
The neck is made from Mahogany and is shaped to the classic, typical Taylor Neck Profile. Universally agreed upon as one of the most comfortable and playable necks ever made, the neck on this Taylor Guitar is certainly part of the club! The fingerboard is made from Ebony and carries a 15" fingerboard radius. 1.75" nut width is nice and comfortable, slightly wider than 11/16" so if you need a little extra space, this one has it!
The Grand Auditorium Body Size offers a comfortable body size with great projection. Its crisp tone is thanks in part to its 25.5" scale which keeps the strings feeling taut and sounding snappy. The guitar features Taylor's Venetian Cutaway, allowing easy high fret access.
Taylor's Expression System 2 is a truly fantastic system that sounds good no matter what you run it through. PA systems, Acoustic Guitar Amps, DAWs, are all easy to dial in with Taylor's simplified controls. Volume, Treble, and Bass allow the perfect amount of tonal sculpting to sound great in every scenario.
