This Taylor 914ce Special Edition Acoustic-Electric Guitar in Natural is just memorizing. Every aspect has been thought out, combed over, and executed brilliantly. From the arm bevel that takes the string away from the lower bass-side bout, to the Ablone top purfling, to the striking and elaborate fingerboard inlay, this guitar is just exquisite!
Guitars made with Spruce and Indian Rosewood have arguably been the most desired and expensive instruments over the last almost 200 years! Spruce offers the perfect strength-to-weight ratio and essentially acts like a speaker cone, pumping and moving sound with ease and getting better as the years go on. The Indian Rosewood back and sides add harmonic density along with warmth, body, and fullness that many other tonewoods just don't have.
The neck is made from Neo-Tropical Mahogany, topped with a Crelicam Ebony Fingerboard. The fingerboard is bound with wood and has an elaborate and stunning fingerboard inlay made of abalone and mother-of-pearl inlay. 1 and 11/16" nut width, a black Tusq Nut, 25.5" scale length, and a Micarta Saddle cover the other important details.
Other notable features include the pearl Rosette, Pearl purfling, Ebony Arm Bevel for maximum right arm comfort, and a sweet inlay on the bridge. This is easily one of the most striking Taylor's we have seen in awhile so make sure to check out this Special Edition offering from Taylor before its gone!
