This Tyler Amps JT-22 1x12" in Dark Green Tolex is brand new. Tyler Amps are made by hand in Nashville so you know they are born with a musical soul! The JT-22 is a 22-watt Black-Panel amplifier voiced like a Princeton Reverb.

The JT-22 runs on a pair of 2 JJ Brand 6V6 power tubes for a timeless tonal palette. The choice for American Made, lower wattage amps for decades, this tube sounds GLORIOUS! Man, this amp is LOUD! TIP: Use the 2nd input to take a little sting out of things if it's not quiet enough for you. The Padded DB of input 2 is a great way to lose excessive volume! At 22 watts with only a single channel's worth of inputs and controls on the front, it's easy to see what Tyler Amps thought when crafting this beast.

The front panel controls are the same as a Princeton Reverb however a Mid-Control on the back adds SERIOUS bark, bite, and volume. There is also a Fat switch on the back. Kinda self-explanatory, no? This EQ feels very 'active' in that as you turn up the EQ controls the volume also jumps considerably. I turned all the EQ controls off and it brought the overall volume down nicely and still sounded great!

This JT-22 features a 50-watt Tonespeak 'Austin 1250' 12" Speaker. On the speakers label it mentions that is co-branded with Tyler Amps so it has some design tweaks to suit Tyler designs. The speaker runs at 8 ohms. It has a punchy, powerful, assertive tone that suits the Black-Panel voice perfectly.

The onboard Reverb is great whether you just want a splash or to swim in it. I loved how washed-out my guitar got with the verb above 7. This reverb adds something to the tone that I really dig.

The tremolo circuit is great, too. The Speed pot offers tempo control from painfully slow to set-to-stun so it's easy to get it dialed in. The Intensity control makes the effect go from hard to hear to chopping or throbbing.

If you are looking for a touch-sensitive, dynamic Fender-Style Amp based on the tried-and-true Black-Panel era amps, this Tyler JT-22 is worth a listen!
