This Used D'Angelico Excel SSTP Electric Guitar in Ice Tea Burst is in on trade and it is in great shape.It is clean, cosmetically and it is fully functioning. The neck is straight, the original frets are still crowned, and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case.
The Excel SS from D'Angelico is a thin line, single-cut arch-top electric guitar. It's on the thin side which adds to its comfortability, much like an Ibanez George Benson model. The body measures in at 1.75" thick at it's deepest. The guitar is built with a center-block design for a Semi-Hollow playing experience.
The top back and sides are all made from figured maple for a layered look. This beautiful wood sits under a stunning Iced Tea finish. The neck is made from maple as well and is topped with a Pau Ferro fingerboard. The neck is "Set In" and joins the body at the 16th fret.
Gold hardware elevates the look of this guitar as do the multi-ply's of binding, mother of pearl, inlay work, and the stellar Ebony Control Knobs. Under the Gold Pickup Covers, we will discover Seymour Duncan 59 Humbuckers that are splittable via push/pull coil taps on the tone controls. A 3 position pickup toggle grants us access to either pickup individually or in tandem.
