This Used 2011 Fender Custom Shop Roadshow Esquire Pro Closet Classic in Black is here on consignment. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod functions properly. Included with the guitar are the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.
The body of this guitar is made with 100+ year old pine. Pine was used on the earliest guitars from Fender and it's enjoyed a resurgence over the last few years. When this guitar was made in 2011, Pine was not being used by many manufacturers, especially not from stuff that's 100 years old! This guitar has a lively, resonant body that makes. it inspiring to play.
The neck is made from some very nice straight-grain Quartersawn Maple. It has a Large C neck profile with a 9.5" fingerboard radius and 6100 frets. It's a large neck, with a full feel and a nice radius and fret size so it is a highly playable guitar. Typical Fender appointments like 25.5" scale length and 1.65" Nut Width are also present.
This is a single pickup Esquire. Single-pickup guitars are often super fun to play, thanks in part to the reduced magnetic pull on the strings. They are often a little more lively, resonant, and sustain-filled. It has a killer bridge pickup tied to a master volume, master tone control, and a 3-way tone selector. For a guitar with 1 pickup, you can generate a wealth of musical tones.
