This Used 2010 PRS 25th Anniversary Swamp Ash Special Narrowfield in Tobacco Sunburst is here on consignment. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod functions properly. Included with the guitar are the original hardshell case, tremolo arm, Hang-Tag, and PRS Paperwork. There are some light scratches on the back of the guitar, and the typical swirl marks you'd expect to see on a 15-year-old guitar that was played.
Before the Silver Sky, PRS had the Swamp Ash Special, a 3-pickup electric guitar with a tremolo. What's cool about this model is that it maintains the elevated aesthetics we have all come to love while offering a drastically different tonal palette than other PRS models of the time. It's carved Swamp Ash top features the same elegant and beautiful lines you'll find on Custom 22/24 or any other American-Made model from the brand.
This guitar is loaded with a trio of Narrowfield Pickups. These pickups combine the full, hum-free sound of a humbucker with the focused, articulate tone of a single-coil in a smaller footprint. Developed around 2010, they use taller bobbins for more windings, creating a "stair-stepped" design that maintains a consistent distance from the strings for a beefy, aggressive, yet clear sound. A master volume, master tone, and 5 way blade switch round out the electronics.
