This Used Suhr Classic S-HSS Electric Guitar in Trans White is here on trade. The neck is straight, the frets are crowned, and the truss rod functions properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case.
This guitar has a 2 piece Paulownia Body. It's very light at just 6 lbs 15 oz. You can see the grain of the wood peaking through the Trans White finish for a layered look with plenty to enjoy. It has a slightly pinkish hue to it. A Red Tortoise Shell pickguard and Black Pickup Covers and controls cover the aesthetics.
The neck is made from AAA-Rated Birdseye Maple for an elevated visual element. The neck is carved to the 60s C Standard Neck profile and measures in at .810" deep at the 1st fret and .930" deep at the 12th. A 9"-12" compound fingerboard radius pairs well with the Heavy frets made of Stainless Steel.
The HSS pickup configuration helps provide a more versatile-sounding Strat that is perfectly suited for keeping up with the bevy of styles many players dip their toes into. A DSV Humbucker in the bridge position. The DSV has a broad sonic aperture with very little compression, making for a dynamic, vintage output humbucker. The DSV Bridge is wound hot for more output, increased sustain and a sweet midrange response. The V63 Single Coil Pickup is in the middle and neck positions. Suhr’s V63 pickups are wound to have the same tonal characteristics as those found by John Suhr in a particularly sweet 1963 S type guitar. The magnets are made by the same company that made the magnets for Fender® in the early 60’s and have the exact same formulation and use the same manufacturing process. A master volume, 2 tone controls, and a 5-way switch tie thing together.
