The Shawbucker Bridge Pickup is a great choice as it plays well with pedals and modern preamps. Designed by acclaimed humbucking pickup guru Tim Shaw, the ShawBucker™ pickup is, in his words, "a new take on an old perception." The ShawBucker retains clarity and impressive note definition while remaining resistant to 60-cycle hum and other extraneous noise. Full of multi-dimensional tone with well-defined overtones, this open-coil pickup complements and balances your guitar's natural voice while playing well with other pickup designs. This humbucker is combined with a pair of hand Wound Fat 50's Single Coils for authentically classic Fender tones. It's amazing just how much of a breadth of tone can be generated from this single guitar! A master volume and two tone controls are tied to a 5 way switch for access to all the tones you'll need.
It has a very comfortable 60's Oval C Neck profile. This is a great rock guitar! Easy bends, chords, vibrato, no matter the position. The neck is made from a piece of quarter-sawn AA grade flame maple for looks and stability. A compound 9.5" to 12" inch radius ensures that every fret allows you to use it to it's fullest extent. 6100 frets are installed for a nice large playing surface. To top it all off the dark rosewood fingerboard is bound for a SUPREMELY cool look! Comfort, looks, and performance in one.
