This Fender FSR Blues Jr IV Amplifier w/Eminence Private Jack Speaker is a limited edition offering! Loaded with a Private Jack speaker from Eminence, this amp has a British Accent compared to its more Jensen-loaded brethren. Running less than 30 watts is all the rage today. No Fender Amp has been grabbed-and-gone so much as the Blue Junior. In fact, they are on the 4th iteration of the model, having been refined numerous times over the years. Loud enough for small bands, quiet enough for at-home play, and with an effective enough Master Volume to make this thing work anywhere!
The Private Jack 12" Speaker from Eminence and their Red Coat Series, was designed to nail that classic British sound. It is a well-balanced speaker with a thick low-end, smooth mid-range, and perfectly extended highs. It is a 50-watt speaker with a nominal impedance of 8 ohms. This speaker meshes well with EL-84 Power Tubes so the Blues Junior is a great choice!
An EL-84 Power Section helps this small-yet-mighty combo amp cut through the mix. A simple list of onboard controls is easy to navigate, in fact, it's hard to get a bad sound out of the Blues Junior! A trio of 12AX7 Preamp Tubes allows for the perfect amount of gain. This is no heavy metal amp but it does everything else quite well!
There is not much bad to say about the Blues Junior and Fender's dedication to improving upon it over the years is proof positive that it is worth all the attention. But hey, it's just Fender's best-selling amp of all time in its 4th version!
