This Used 2004 Gibson ES-137 Classic Semi-Hollow in Tri-Burst is here on trade and it is in great shape. The guitar features light cosmetic wear that you'd expect to find on a guitar that has been played but with respect. The hardware is tarnished and a little worn. Right below the pots, there is a bit of a rough line along where the binding and body meet that goes for about 3". The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod functions properly. Included with the guitar. is the original hardshell case.
This guitar is shaped similarly to an ES-175 but it is thinner and it has a center block like a 335. So, if you ever wished for a Single-Cut body with the functionality (ie; feedback rejection) of the ES-335, the ES-137 Classic is worth checking out! The 137 was discontinued years ago and we don't see them very often on the used market. It has Gibson's 490R and 498T humbucker pickups so it can go from sweet and clean, to ripping and soaring. It's medium-sized neck feels quite nice as it's not bloated like the early 50's and not as slim as the Slim Taper. Blues, jazz, country, rock, this guitar sounds and feels at home just about anywhere.
