The Martin 00-18 offers the focused tone of mahogany with the projection of a small body. If you want a small bodied guitar that can really cut thru the mix, this is it!
The 00 body style is a favorite of those who spend a lot of time sitting and playing. It's thinner and smaller body isn't quite as ergonomically cumbersome as a dreadnaught or even a 000. It's small top takes it easy on your strumming arm as well.
The player friendly Performing Artist Neck Profile and High Performance Tapers combine for perhaps the most playable Martin neck that there is. The neck is made from select hardwood and then topped with an Ebony Fingerboard and Abalone Old Style 18 Inlays. A slightly shorter scale of 24.9" allows for less string tension and softens the strings for the fingers of the left hand. Nut width of 1.75" and a bone nut combine for a familiar feel and sound.
Genuine Mahogany Back and Sides have proved to be a time tested classic when it comes to guitar tones. Making it's way onto thousands of recordings over the the last century, the team of Spruce and Mahogany is the choice for many who use the guitar to accompany their voice.
The Music Gallery of Highland Park is proud to be an authorized Martin Guitar Dealer. Blending their Vintage Recipes with modern Manufacturing has given guitar players the best guitars Martin can make. These instruments have never been more playable, more consistent or more righteously priced. Stop but the shop to check out our full inventory of Martin and Martin Custom Shop Acoustic Guitars!
