A Sitka Spruce top is paired with Mahogany for a focused, articulate, and powerful sound. The D-18 is favored in the studio for how easy it is to record and by many singer/strummers as it supports vocals in a less-distracting-than-rosewood kind of way. Scalloped, forward-shifted braces made of source allow this guitar to pump out sound efficiently. 

The neck is made from Select Hardwood which usually means Mahogany or Sapele. It is carved to a Modified Low Oval Profile and features the High-Performance Taper. This neck feels instantly familiar allowing you to get right to playing. The fingerboard is made from Ebony and has a 16" radius. Old Styl 18 Fingerboard Inlays from ABalone add a touch of class.
