This Used 2021 Gibson Custom Shop 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue in Bourbon Burst is here on trade. It is in great shape. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar are the certificate of authenticity and the original hardshell case. This electric guitar weighs 9 lb 1 oz.
The recipe is timeless: a mahogany body, a maple top, a mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard. This tonewood cocktail provides us with that sound that you just can't get from other combos. The big bottom end is complimented with sweet top-end compression, thanks to the carved and plain maple top. The top of the guitar is bound with cream binding and finished in Gibson's thirst-quenching Bourbon Burst with their VOS treatment for a lightly aged look.
The neck is made from Mahogany and shaped to a 58 Profile. It measures in at .880" depth at the 1st fret and .940" at the 12th fret and has what Gibson calls a Chunky C Neck Profile. The fingerboard is made from a single piece of Indian Rosewood that carries a 12" fingerboard radius. The neck is bound with cream binding to match the body. 1 and 11/16" nut width combined with 24.75" scale length give us a classic feeling Gibson playing experience.
The Sustain goes on for days thanks to a pair of CustomBucker Alnico III humbucker pickups. Alnico 3 magnets provide a less in-your-face kind of sound. These pickups do both clean and dirty quite well, though they really accel at driving an amp. Each pickup has its own volume and tone control. A 3-way pickup selectors switch allows access to each pickup individually or in tandem.
Nobody treats used guitars as we do at The Music Gallery! Every trade-in goes through an inspection, cleaning, restring and set up before being put out on sale. We even put guitars with bad frets through our Plek machine if need be. If this service piques your interest learn more here or give us a call!
