Regular price $2,695.00 Sale

This Used Fender Custom Shop 1955 Chicago Special Telecaster Journeyman Relic in Aged Daphne Blue is in on trade and it is in great shape. It is a lightly relic'ed guitar so the age and wear were intentionally executed at the Fender Custom Shop Factory. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar are the certificate of authenticity and original hardshell case. Want a feathe-weight Tele? This one weighs in at an easy 6 lbs 12 oz!

This 1955 Tele Relic is finished in the beautiful Aged Daphne Blue. A slightly more bold and vibrant shade of blue than Sonic Blue,  but still a softer blue than say Lake Placid or Cobalt. Aged lightly with the Journeyman Relic treatment, this guitar is like your favorite pair of jeans: broken in perfectly, softer in all the right spots, and just the right amount of wear to say you been around the block a couple of times.

The neck is made from quartersawn plain maple and then shaped to a  10/56 Neck Profile. The depth of the neck at the 1st fret is .880", while it's .980" at the 12th fret. A Fingerboard radius of 7.25" is present as are Jesacr 50085 Frets for an authentically vintage playing experience. Traditional appointments like a nut width of 1.650", 25.5" scale length, and a bone nut round of the neck specs.

What's special about the "Chicago Special" Tele® pickups? Well, they are Potted in shellac for open wide-range frequency response. 43 gauge enamel wire is used in their construction. The Bridge pickup features Wide diameter AlNiCo 3 magnets, combined with thinner, 43 gauge enamel wire, which equals 'hot juicy tone'. The Neck Pickup features Wide diameter AlNiCo 5 magnets overwound with 43 gauge enamel wire gives high output, clarity, and punch. Classic Tele controls of a master volume,  master tone, and a three-way blade switch round out the electronics.

Nobody treats used guitars as we do at The Music Gallery! Every trade-in goes through an inspection, cleaning, restring, and set up before being put out on sale. We even put guitars with bad frets through our Plek machine if need be. If this service piques your interest learn more here or give us a call!
