This Used 2014 Gibson Custom Shop J-180 Acoustic-Electric Guitar in Cherry is on consignment. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod functions properly. The body does have some knicks, dings, and impressions, though none are serious or affect playability. Included with the guitar is its original hardshell case.
The J-180 is synonymous with the Everly Brothers, especially when it has the double pickguard on it! While this isn't officially an Everly Bro's signature edition, it has the look, the vibe, and the tone plus an onboard electronics system so it's prepped for any scenario!
Finished in a gorgeous Cherry Red Nitrocellulose Finish, this guitar looks amazing! The double, dark red pickguards harken back to the 1950s. The back and sides are made from nicely figured Maple giving it that "fiddle-back" look. The body is bound on the top and back to add another layer to the look but its the Cherry Finish that's the star of the show here.
The neck is made from mahogany and it is topped with a rosewood fingerboard. Split parallelogram inlays add another distinct visual to the J-180. The fingerboard is bound and the Grover Tuners are Gold. The neck profile is typical of most Gibson acoustics. It starts with a comfy C shape that fills out a bit as you work your way up the fingerboard.
Overall, this is a beautiful guitar, is in nice condition, that plays very well, and has a rich sound that only a large-bodied Gibson Acoustic can produce!
