This Used 2014 Gibson Custom Shop R9 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue in Lemon Burst is here on consignment. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod functions properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.
This is a very nice-looking guitar with a top that is very reminiscent of the Collector's Choice model Sandy. It has a highly figured, bookmatched top, with tight flames that look great from any angle.
The neck is made from Mahogany and is carved to a 59 Rounded Neck Profile. It has a full feel without being bloated. The fingerboard is made from a single piece of Indian Rosewood and it's a nice looking piece. A 12" fingerboard radius, medium jumbo frets, 24.75" scale, and 1 and 11/16" round out the important neck numericals.
A pair of Custombucker pickups provides thick, warm, and rich tones with a sweet and musical top end. Each pickup has it's own volume and tone controls and is accessible alone or in tandem via the 3-way pickup selector switch.
