This Used Fender Custom Shop Custom Deluxe Stratocaster in Sapphire Blue Trans is here on consignment and it is in nice shape. It is clean, cosmetically except for a couple of small dings, and it is fully functioning. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.
The Custom Deluxe Stratocaster from the Fender Custom Shop borrowed some concepts from a couple of much-loved American Series guitars and took it to the Custom Shop! Built as a New Old Stock Guitar, this one is finished in Sapphire Blue Transparent, which allows the grain of the striking Ash body to peek thru. This guitar has some serious depth to its look! It also has a 3-Ply Black Pickguard for maximum cool. This is a stand-out looking Strat! The use of Ash will be limited for the foreseeable future, in order to help replenish the stock of this amazing tonewood.
The neck is made from maple and is topped with a very nice looking piece of Rosewood. It's carved to a Big 65 C Shape that is full to the left hand. The fingerboard radius is 9.5", the frets are 6105, we have 25.5" scale length, and 1.6875" nut width. Enjoy the truss-rod adjustment behind the nut while you're at it!
An interesting Pickup Compliment comes factory installed with a Texas Special in the bridge and a pair of 69's for the neck and middle. This is a super sweet selection as the bridge pickup of the 69s set is extremely bright making it a little tough on the ears at times. Substituting the Texas Special beefed the bridge position up, big time! Now this baby can scream and then chime with a flick of a switch. They are tied to a Master Volume Control, 2 Tone controls, and a 5-way pickup selector switch.
