This Used 2006 Fender Factory Special Run 69 Telecaster Thinline in Arctic White is here on trade. This 60th Anniversary Thinline Tele weighs in at 6 lbs 11 oz which is rather light considering the body is made from Mahogany. Only 200 of these were made and they don't seem to pop up very often these days so if you have been searching for a clean one, here you go!
Mahogany is a wood typically associated with that other brand of guitar but sometimes, Fender dips their toes in tropical waters. With the current price of mahogany on the rise, this guitar offers some solid value from the get-go. The body is a Thinline Style so it's rather hollowed out before the top goes on, giving you a nice resonate chamber that provides a little extra acoustic hrrumph.
The neck is made from Maple and is carved to a medium-size c shape. It's a little thicker than what you'd find on a Made in Mexico Strat, so perfect for the typical Tele player. A 7.25" fingerboard radius and 21 medium-jumbo frets give you a fine playing surface to work with. 25.5" scale length and 1.65 Nut width combine for a decidedly Fender Feel.
