Our 1st Fender American Acoustasonic Jazzmaster Acoustic-Electric in Natural has arrived! The next evolution in the Fender American Acoustasonic Acoustic-Electric Guitar is the Jazzmaster! This big-bodied, off-set guitar is the obvious choice thanks to its larger body. It's the "jumbo" of the Acoustasonic line so if a little more is your thing, this guitar is worth investigating.
The American Acoustasonic Guitars quickly became one of our best-selling lines shortly after their introduction a couple of years back. Then the Strat was introduced and now the Jazzmaster. The Jazzmaster is the 1st to feature a Shawbucker humbucker pickup in the bridge position, offering thicker, fuller tones with no 60-cycle hum. It also comes loaded with a Fishman Transducer under the bridge saddle along with the Fishman Acoustasonic Enhancer, a proprietary product! Between these three pickup systems, the master volume control, and the Mod Wheel (which allows you to blend the pickups on a practically infinite level), if you can't find a sound that works for you... let's just say it ain't the guitar!
The neck is made from Mahogany, the tonewood choice on most nice acoustic guitars. An Ebony fingerboard adds elegance to its look. This combo provides warmth and richness, along with an articulate top-end thanks to that ebony fingerboard. The neck features a satin urethane finish for a smooth, dry, and most importantly, fast-playing neck. The neck is carved to Fender's Deep C Profile which measures in at .... Other important neck specs include 22 Narrow Tall Frets, 1.6875" nut Width, a Tusq nut, 12" fingerboard radius, and 25.5" scale length.
The back of the body is made from Mahogany and it is topped with Sitka Spruce. This tonewood combo screams timeless, think Martin D-18. The larger body of the Jazzmaster lends itself to the Acoustasonic format incredibly well. Added low-end and phenomenal projection are just a couple of added benefits. A polyester satin matte finish keeps the woods protected.
